Aviation uses visual reference points (VRPs) to provide a consistent set of ground features that pilots and air traffic control can use to assist with identifying an aircraft's location or routing.
A key problem is that this assumes that pilots know what all 400 visual reference points in the UK look like.
This map seeks to help solve that issue, by showing them all on a Google satellite view, so pilots can familiarise themselves with the (relevant) VRPs before flying.
